Little Dixie Community Action Agency provides Credit Counseling services for the purposes of assisting individuals and families who are seeking homeownership, small business loans for business start-up/expansion and for anyone seeking to improve their credit score and/or manage debt. Credit counseling services are free and available to anyone regardless of income.
Little Dixie Community Action Agency, Inc. has been providing credit counseling to community residents for the past ten years. We have three highly trained experienced credit counselors on staff, one located within each county of our primary service area (Choctaw, McCurtain and Pushmataha counties).
Our credit counselors work one-on-one with clients to help them resolve credit issues and manage debt. Credit issues can negatively impact opportunities for securing capital for homeownership or business ventures. Our counselors will help you to develop a plan and work with you throughout the process to help you resolve your credit issues. The length of time it takes to improve your credit varies depending on each individual’s unique situation. Some of the services provided through credit counseling include:
- Personal money management (Income to Debt ratio).
- Working with your creditors
- Improving your credit score
- Negotiating settlements with creditors
- How to overcome bad credit and create good credit.
